Hi Gang!
Welcome to the Giants Blog.
Starting today, we’re going to have a nice little chat, you and me. I’m going to share some Giants news, some insight, hopefully even some foresight with you. And here’s the beauty of this; you get to answer back. Agree, disagree, love, hate. I want to hear it all. What, you thought you linked into the White House? Ha! We still kinda dig the First Amendment around here, so I hope you folks will make good use of it.
If you have a question, ask it and I’ll try to get you a response from someone in the know. Got an opinion? Say it. Just keep it clean (family site and all that). A super guy in the office named Chris, who taught this old dog the new blogging trick, will make sure it all gets to the right place at the right time.
Let’s get a real good dialogue going, like Pete Abraham and John Delcos have with their Yankees and Mets blogs here. They both do a great job. I hope mine will be just as interesting. And don’t forget to give Andrew Gross’ Jets blog a glance, too. He’s a great guy and a great reporter. Too bad he’s stuck covering the JV.
Oops! Did I say that? Well, that’s just an example of what can happen in these things.
So let the good times roll!
Just to get things going, here’s something to gnaw on for the next few hours. Are you as concerned as I am that Jeremy Shockey has come back too soon from last Monday’s concussion? Could he be endangering himself of a recurring problem that will wreck his season? How say you?
I’ll be back with an update or two later in the day.
Ciao for now.

The concussion to Shockey scares me because of the mental aspect of it. For someone that has never been hit like that, it could take a toll mentally. Will it always be lingering in his head when he is comming accross the middle and he has Roy Williams waiting for him? Time will tell if he hears the footsteps.
I agree, partially. Shockey admitted there will be that 1 percent of him that fears another concussion. But for a guy who plays as wildly as he does, I think he’ll have a short memory. Remember, this is a guy who craves hitting almost as much as a good party.
