Welcome Home

August
29

The Giants had their Welcome Home luncheon in Manhattan, and guess who didn’t show.

That’s right. His eminence, No. 92. Reports are he’s rather miffed at Jerry Reese for telling the world he’d make his decision over the next two days. One even said he’d delay it longer out of spite. That would be kind of childish.

As for anything concrete, there is nothing except that his absence has now reached 34 days. One person close to Strahan told me today he has no idea when he’ll make his decision, or report if he does opt to continue playing.

“You know Stray,” he said. “It could be gametime next Sunday.”

Make for a heck of a story.

Ciao for now.

Stay away, Stra! It seems apparent at this point that Strahan doesn’t seem to have his heart in lining up at left end and terrorizing QBs any longer. With that in mind, I hope he just decides to hang it up. If he is just in it to cash a paycheck, that has disaster written all over it.

likely scenario: he signs ,plays so so,then gets hurt again.Save the money ,trade him for a pick in 2012 to a west coast team.

Good comment Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s hope that Michael reports within the next several days. If he doesn’t, Justin Tuck will do more than fill MS’s Lisfranc-fractured
    (feet)shoes.

    Yawn

Tiki last year, with his “retirement” party

Michael this year, with his preseason holdout

    what boredom!

Anyone ready for some real football?

Strahan is acting like a baby. He’s getting me mroe and more pissed. First I really wanted him back and now he’s looking more and more like Tiki. He needs to either show up or go back to his empty home. I’ve never been ashamed of my beloved Giants players since Tiki and Strahan have pulled this crap in the last two years. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

    I’m so over Strahan.

  8. Brian Lorenzen

Even if he does play, he has been mostly inactive for 9 months and he is older than time. He may be one of the all time great Giants, but he won’t be able to just bounce back and switch it on. Strahan is finished, and they better recognize it, free up a roster spot, and carry a third QB instead. Any notion that Jared Lorenzen in a competent backup is utter rubbish… he is an embarrassment to the Lorenzen name. The man is 260+ pounds and isn’t even hard to tackle.
