Looks like Michael Strahan has decided to play football afterall.
His agent, Tony Agnone, said he’s headed to the area tonight and will report to the team by Monday.
“He’s coming back because he wants to keep playing, Agnone said today. “He’s going to put off his TV career until he decides to retire.
So the 36-day dance with retirement—if it ever really was about that—appears to be coming to an end. Just when even some of his staunchest supporters on the team was starting to doubt that he’d ever come back.
Anyway, now Tom Coughlin can make his cuts with having Strahan in mind. He’ll get a full week of work in before Dallas, but he’ll still have to prove that Lisfranc foot injury can hold up.
I’ll keep you posted on developments. For now, though, it looks like that rotation with Justin Tuck just might happen.
Ciao for now.

Ernie Palladino

Who needs this guy, an aging ex-star with an attitude who seems to think he’s doing you a major favor by suiting up unprepared? Tom Coughlin must rue the day he left B.C. He’d probably have a national championsip by now, dealing with athletes who want to play, want to work, and want to win.
Interesting for Ernie that the JN wouldn’t spring
for a trip to Foxboro. You’d think it was Tokyo.
Maybe Jared Lorenzen should back up Tuck at DE.
For insurance, talk Jack Gregory (#81 like Robustelli)
out of retirement, and just let Strahan drive those horrid
buses from the satellite parking lots—- but only
for a bus driver’s pay.
I hate Michael Strahan. I haven’t posted in a while, but I just wanted to make that point clear.
Most selfish athlete in history. And that’s saying something.
Strahan will help, but only if he is really interested in playing football. If he’s just there to get paid and get attention he will be a problem.
After the distatesful departure of Tiki last year, I am tired of players that create havoc for the team. We will survive and adjust to the loss. Strahan comes to the team out of shape and not prepared. Yet people ask if we need him as a leader. We do not. His behavior is self involved and lacks leadership qualities. Let the guys who busted their butts, sweating all summer get their chance. It’s time for Big Blue to develop a squad of new blood that is enthusiastic. Look at a young player like Ryan Grant. Still in there after a great career at Notre Dame. Played practice squad and plays his heart out. Let’s give someone who gives it his all a chance to be a Giant. Enough is enough with players who are legends in their own mind.
Ernie- Have you seen our cuts? This is such a crazy year. Demps got cut. Underwood got cut.
Players cut so far:
*K Josh Huston
*CB E.J. Underwood
*DT Jonas Seawright
*OL Todd Londot
*S J.R. Reed
*WR Brandon London
*DT Tui Alailefaleula
*T Jon Dunn
*TE Charles Davis
*OT Justin Jones
*S Will Demps
Is it too late to trade him for someone the Giants need? You certainly don’t want the other players using him as a role model.
