Nope. Not what you think. They still haven’t signed one of the kickers. But they did add a defensive end. Dave Tollefson, a 6-foot-4, 255-pounder, was signed off the Raiders practice squad. He’s had no previous NFL experience after becoming a Packers seventh-round draft pick in 2006.
To make room, the Giants placed fullback Robert Douglas and his arthoscopically repaired knee on injured reserve.
Also, the Giants signed Matt Lentz to the practice squad, replacing linebacker Rory Johnson, who was signed last week.
Ciao for now.

Another DE? Shouldn’t they be looking for D backs?
okay…
it is a little disconcerting we are signing cast offs every week. it is an indication of a weak roster. we are filling a spot at the position with the lowest priority need. what about line backers and defensive backs?
It’s probably just a case of looking for the BPA to fill out the very back end of the roster.
Maybe Spagnuolo wants to have two or three waves of DLs to rotate in over the course of the game. This will insure constant pressure on the QB
hopefully he will play as bad as the Raiders have been playing the last 2 years. Maybe he can help the giants
go 4 and 12 wouldn’t that be great. Hopefully he will miss
a lot of tackles.
