End of Third, Giants 13-3

October
28

Remember that one big play we talked about in the first half summary. It very nearly happened in the third quarter when Eli Manning was sacked and fumbled. But the defense held once the Dolphins got to the 2, and Miami had to settle for a 29-yard Jay Feely field goal.

Eli is 5-for-17 for 28 yards, which is exactly how many rushing yards he has now on two scrambles, one for a touchdown. They’d be better served keeping it on the ground from here on out

Ciao for now.

    terrible terrible effort.

play calling was moronic… why throw the ball, I was yelling this before it happened…

Sam Madison canoot tackle and great discipline on the last giant drive to try to put things away.

lucky they wwere playing the worst team in the nfl.

    TERRIBLE….......

  2. whoa

I think the weather and the field were the problem rather than the effort.

ELI STILL MAKES THE SAME MISATAKES that he has for 4 yrs.. put any pressure on him and it is a whole nother story..

terrible play calling…...the weather was terrbile but the giants also played terrible…watch the film it was unwatchable..

Eli goes into a brainlock too often. He was
terrible. Don’t talk about the weather…high
wind is worse than rain any day. No excuses.

Lemon actually looked better much of the game.

    Some poor Giants’ play-calling too.

A slumbering win the Giants could have lost.

How long is that FG kicker going to be around?
Big mistake letting Feely go. Yes, he missed,
    but from 48 yards.

Pierce is another dope. Three roughing penalties
in two games. Lock them all up in the Tower
of London. This is an ugly 6-2, but still 6-2.

My grandmother could have tackled better
    than Sam Madison did today.

But overall, the defense wasn’t the problem.
It was that damn offense again.

Don’t buy any of that weather-field stuff.
The Giants still should have scored 24 against
this team if they were playing in a monsoon.

59 yards passing by Eli? Inexcusable.

  6. Del 85

Wet conditions favor the offense. The receivers
know where they are going, the defense has a
    tougher time reacting.

With the finejob the 0-line has been doing this year,
Eli should be lighting up the scoreboard on
a regular basis. I’m over out tonight…too annoyed
at this 6-2 offense, especially Eli. Jacobs
and Droughns did fine work, the line was good
again. Shockey only caught two passes. Hardly
anyone else caught anything, either. Four penalties
in a row on the offense killed a drive.
