Just a note here to pump what I think is a good cause. Mike Ditka’s “Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund” has several fundraising events going on in and around Phoenix. But the one you guys might be interested in is the on-line auction of various pieces of memorabilia at www.gridirongreats.org.
Ditka’s organization helps the former players who can’t get medical assistance from the NFL or the players association. Ditka, along with many other NFL vets, are fighting to get increased financial support from the league for the guys who need extensive surgery and medical upkeep in their later years. A lot of them helped make the NFL what it is today and yet, they’re being swept under the rug.
Anyway, wouldn’t hurt to give the site a look and if you see anything you like, bid on it. The guys could use the help.

Many of the Giants wore black business suits
for their arrival today. The Men In Black are in town.
The Cowgirls haven’t even won a playoff game
since ‘96. The Giants won three this year.
The last time the Jets won a title, no one
had heard of Woodstock or Charlie Manson, man
had not yet walked on the moon, and Chappaquiddick
was known by very few outside that local area.
That’s how long it’s been for the Jets. Jets?
They are like Snoopy’s Sopwith Camel.
