Reselling your season ticket

Mark asked a great question, and I thought it warranted a new post.
If you buy your PSL, do you have to resell it to the team?
John Mara says no. And Mark is right, the waiting list, with 130,000 people, becomes virtually meaningless in terms of season tickets, although you will have first dibs on season ticketholders selling single games through the Giants.
I talked to stadium expert Neil deMause, and he likens the arrangement to a co-op, where you pay a fee to own the space and when you move you resell it for what the market will bear. Seems that the bank accounts of the new stadium’s season ticket holders will be a lot bigger than the bank accounts of last season’s.

Thanks for the quick answer Jane. eBay and StubHub are now going to be full of people looking to flip their licenses for a nice profit.
While people who thought their names would never reach the top of the waiting list during their lifetime now have a chance at tickets, many people will be priced out of the stadium. Others will undoubtedly make a quick buck.
So..that means an otlet, like stub hub, could buy those PSL’s and because it’s a business, never resell them. That would mean eventually, no individual will every own a season ticket and then the outlets can jack up the single game prices to what ever they want. If one outlet owned enough and got mad at the giants they could empty the stadium for a game couldn’t they.
The whole thing sucks. PSL’s in good locations will be $50,000 and only very wealthy people, those who don’t buy all the Jerseys, will own them. It’s a big middle finger to the working stiff!!!!
