Tom Coughlin admitted last week he’s going to be faced with a number of difficult roster decisions here in the coming days and weeks. Some players with potential are going to be let go.

With that in mind, here’s what I’d keep and eye on tonight:

Reuben Droughns vs. Danny Ware: It’s unlikely the Giants will be able to keep both running backs, so they need to make more of an impression this week. And not just when they have the ball. Making a big special teams play here and there seems to make all the difference.

Sinorice Moss vs. Domenik Hixon vs. Brandon London vs. Michael Jennings vs. Craphonso Thorpe vs. D.J. Hall: Unless the the injury situation fails to clear up in the next two weeks, I’m guessing only two of the backup receivers will make the roster. Hixon is clearly earning points for being the preseason workhorse. Perhaps a third spot will open up if the Giants can’t get Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer and Steve Smith healthy in time.

Anthony Wright vs. David Carr: This one could go down to the final snap. Wright comes in behind Eli Manning tonight and rookie Andre Woodson is going to get a look. I assume this means Carr gets to come in behind Manning on Saturday against the Jets.

You’ll notice I didn’t get into any defensive match ups. Those guys have looked pretty good whenever I’ve been on the sidelines at training camp. And the lineup seems pretty well set.

I’ll be checking in from Giants Stadium later.
