So did the worst-case scenario play out last night? Was it hard to breathe watching a Pro Bowl defensive end get carted off the field? Did you say a prayer or light a candle Osi Umenyiora?
It’s the one spot where the Giants don’t seem to have depth.
Justin Tuck and Umenyiora gave fans hope that everything would be fine when Michael Strahan retired. Now who’s going to apply the necessary pressure if the leading sack man has to get scoped? The scouting report changes significantly if Umenyiora misses time. The constant double teams shift over to keep Tuck occupied.
We might know more when Coughlin updates the situation later this afternoon.
