With Osi Umenyiora out with a torn meniscus in his left knee, the Giants need a defensive end. Apparently they have found him in their own linebacking corps.
Coach Tom Coughlin just announced the Giants will be moving linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka back to defensive end.
Kiwanuka was a defensive end with the Giants as a rookie in 2006, finishing with 55 tackles and four sacks. The Giants converted him to linebacker last year, and he had 4 1-2 sacks and 47 tackles in 10 games before breaking his left fibula against Detroit.
