The numbers game

Let the anxious moments begin!
I heard a number of players on the bubble in the locker room after tonight’s game claim they weren’t nervous, but it’s really hard to believe. Nobody is comfortable when their livelihood is threatened.
The roster has to be down to 53 by Saturday, and Tom Coughlin admits there are some difficult choices ahead.
“We will do exactly like we usually do,” he said tonight. “We will have sessions to discuss tomorrow, we will make some decisions, we will sleep on it, we will get up and talk about it again the next morning and go from there.”
The locker room will be a lot quieter on Sunday.
Based on what happened tonight, I’d say there is a decent chance David Carr will survive. Anthony Wright, too.
Rookie QB Andre Woodson could be the odd man out. He looked completely overwhelmed after taking over in the fourth quarter and was quickly yanked.

Wow. They drafted Woodson to develop him, not to cut him at the first sign that he needs development.
Yah, I don’t think Woodson gets released. They knew he wasn’t going to do anything this year. He’s a developmental player, just like Lorenzen was. No point keeping two experienced QBs as backups. I see Wright getting released. Carr looks pretty good now that he doesn’t have to worry about getting sacked or knocked to the ground.
Yeah what a complete waste of a draft pick if that’s true.
