Sounds like …

I was having flashbacks yesterday while listening to Plaxico Burress.
While he explained the latest transgression, I kept hearing the voice of Latrell Sprewell, who kept us all entertained while he was running around for the Knicks.
I had a front row seat for those years.
Burress and Sprewell are kindred free spirits. They have all kinds of natural ability. They love to win. They are good teammates. Away from the game, they reside in a parallel universe where common sense doesn’t always register.
The disruptions are usually mild.
Sprewell had a unique take on most issues, and wasn’t afraid to be different. I loved hanging out in front of his locker. And it never mattered what you wrote about the guy. No matter what made the papers, he was always willing to share a few more thoughts.
Burress seems to operate in a similar manner. He doesn’t appear to be swayed by popular opinion and will probably get fined in the near because he doesn’t watch the clock outside the lines. It’s probably not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
Heck, if nothing else, it provides a little comic relief. I know, I know. Tom Coughlin doesn’t appreciate that kind of humor.

Hahha, that’s a great comparison. Totally forgot about Sprewell. It is kind of funny and interesting to see players that are so talented and such free spirits. Another one is Ricky Williams and his marijuana, yoga loving lifestyle. I mean being fined 40+ times? Hahaha, that’s hilarious. The Giants should just start a Plaxico Foundation for him.
Maybe it’s just me, but if I were a player on the Giants I would be annoyed that a player like Plaxico is getting so much press while other players who follow the rules and are dedicated to the team might as well not exist.
