And the weather isn’t very good down here, either.
It’s cool and rainy.
We’re going to find out whether the Giants can find a way to ignore what happened on Friday to Plaxico Burress and find another way to win. They’ve not been distracted yet. Still, this is huge.
A moment of stupidity could ruin the season.
There’s going to be a throng in front of Antonio Pierce’s locker after the game. I might borrow a helmet. There’s going to be questions about the incident directed at every single player. There’s going to be a lot of tension in that locker room all week long.
More from FedEx Field in a while.
If you have any thoughts or just want to vent, go ahead …

What would really add to the sense of something special for this team this season (on top of Strahan and Osi gone but the front 4 not missing a beat, and Dominic Hixon’s extraordinary play) is that fourth receiver taking a huge leap up in productivity. If only today were the day that Eli happened to find Moss or Manningham for big plays just when they’re needed. Or maybe with Jacobs and Bradshaw dinged up, it’ll be Danny Ware who takes off and adds to that sense of something special for this team this season. Whomever it is, I’ve got a feeling somebody will step up today, and he’ll briefly take the media fixation from the Plax shooting and place it on the New York football Giants’ play on the football field.
Be careful interviewing Antonio Pierce. He might have his air horn with him.
What a mess
“A moment of stupidity could ruin the season.” Precisely. This is the kind of thing that can destroy what Tom Coughlin and Jerry Reese have worked so hard to build. Plax packed a gun and now the Giants should tell him to pack his bags.
The lack of effort after signing a big deal early this season is pathetic. He gets payed big bucks and his numbers are severely down from last year. And last year he was injured.
And Pierce was involved too? We need pierce but we can live with out Burress (EX: Last week)
Find a way to get rid of him. He’s nothing but a huge distraction. Send him to play with Shockey.
He’s an idiot. He’s got a family – a son – who looks up to him. He’s got a team who counts on him, and a franchise that has $35 million worth of expectations. And he’s done nothing to earn the respect of any of them. Let him get his head screwed on straight on someone else’s time.
I was happy to see that his stupidity didn’t distract his team too much yesterday. And the Giants are lucky they’ve been building their bench strength and they have many talented players. Eli has a lot of really good choices when he throws the ball.
