Canty decides to stick around

It’s like Jerry Reese is using Jedi mind tricks.
None of the free agents invited here for a visit have left town without new contract. He’s 3-for-3 now that Chris Canty has inked a six-year deal worth a reported $42 million.
Can you see it?
“I like it here. Where do I sign?”
Canty is guaranteed nearly $18 million. We’ll have to see where he fits in on the defensive line. The former Cowboy had 37 tackles and three sacks last season. He took Eli Manning down twice. Canty is a native of the Bronx.

Nice job by Reese and company this weekend.
I would think that is it for the Giants in free agency, but you never know.
Unless they actually expect Plax back (which all signs point away from), the Giants absolutely need another WR. I think Bradshaw and Ware can fill in for Ward, but Eli desperately needs someone to throw to. I like these moves, now I just want one more for the offense.
Al,
I see the Plax situation competely in the opposite. If Plax gets no jail time, he will DEFINITELY be back in Giant blue sometime next season. When, depends on what the NFL does with him. It all rides on those 2 factors. This is especially true now that the NYG have shot their free agent wad without spending any $$$ on a potential #1 wideout. The team certainly does not have one now. Maybe they know something about this Plax situation that we don’t. We’d better hope so, because right now, there is no big play WR threat on the team and that is a GLARING weakness and why the season ended too early last year.
great signings this year, it will help our depth and overall d tremendously….nowe we need a playmaker on offense…what about trading for gonzo and using two te’s and hope plax comes back…that would be ideal.
The defense was average to slightly above average at the end…In the Giants-eagles playoff game, the Giants D could not get off the field in the 3RD…tHE GAME WOuld have been closer at the end with a better d.
I smell a trade. Robbins for Bralon Edwards…
Also Matthuis could go back to lb.
dude the giants did not make these moves so they can get rid of cofield and robbins, no way, this just adds more depth and moves either cofield or robbins as backups, they will still get plenty of snaps…these moves were made for depth and to try and keep our line fresh throughout the season…..i highly doubt a trade for cofield or robbins is coming
