C.C. Brown is a Giant

Start up the welcome wagon, the Giants have signed another free agent, C.C. Brown.
No, he’s not a wide receiver.
The 26-year-old safety is presumably coming in to battle Kenny Phillips and Michael Johnson for a spot in the starting lineup. He played in three games this past season for the Houston Texans, and missed the remainder of the season with a broken forearm.
Brown was a regular in Houston and has a reputation for stopping the run, so maybe he’s a situational player for the Giants, who seem to have a rotation for every situation.
More to come.

Nice, this leaves WR and LB (strong-side) as top priorities in the draft. O-line is also probably a first day pick, I’m worried about depth there. Guessing TE, CB/S, RB for 2nd day picks. This team has a lot of depth – can’t really think of any other holes. Kicker/Punter or maybe someone who can return kicks/special teams standout. Thoughts?
good player great against the run. my question is for such young talent y only a 1 year deal
You’re set with DBs, don’t forget Terrell Thomas, and Kevin Dockery should be coming back. I like the idea of added future OL after the Giants pick a WR. And don’t forget special teams. With so many picks, they have an opportunity to get a real standout there. As for the one-year deal. He was hurt last season, isn’t guaranteed a starting position, and probably wants to prove he’s worthy of more instead of settling for two or three years in a lower tax bracket.
