We’ve taken the poll on Hakeem Nicks down, and “I like it” won with 17 of the 38 total votes by a hair over “They should have traded for a veteran.” And four utterly misguided souls voted that I’m a genius for hitting the pick on the head. Well, thanks for the sentiment, anyway, but that was pure luck.
We get some locker room access tomorrow. It’s going to be interesting to hear what Eli Manning thinks about getting not one, but two young receivers and a tight end to throw to. Hope he’s around.
Any stray thoughts on the draft, drop them off right here. We’re always open.

I love the Giants more and more every draft. Reese has a calm patience and always seems to get what he needs without going for the flashy, fan favorite pick.
As for Nicks, I like the pick. Nicks’s circus catch ability (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTM09jW3l08) will certainly come in handy on game day. Don’t get me wrong, I love Eli—and did even before he won the MVP for XLII. But Eli has some ball control issues.
I think the picks are great… my only concern is there isnt a veteran receiver to guide these guys through how the NFL works…like ive said before my wishful thinking wants them to bring Toomer back.
He’s been a life long Giant and he still has gas in the tank.
Those young guys can really learn a lot from a guy like Toomer.
Besides…im really gonna miss seeing that beautiful porche he drives to camp.

but i do have a problem with the giants draft and why they didnt get an athletic linebacker which they dont have?I really dont think there is a realplaymaker in this group.lets go through it, A.P is getting old and has no speed his only strength is his football-brian. danny clark is old and slow, wilkinson is hurt,kehl was good in the begining but tailed of in the end to non-factor and blackburn is not a starter and deossie is a waste of a linebacker.and goff looked slow and injured.and the jury is out on boley.There are NO PLAYMAKERS!!!!!!! and not one can play the pass. its just makes me sick!!!!!! WEAK WEAK
