A little Plax for a sunny day

Commissioner Roger Goodell is beginning his investigation into the Plaxico Burress gun charges and agent Drew Rosenhaus says five teams are interested in signing the troubled wide receiver.
This is gonna be fun. I’m thinking it’s not a matter of if Plax gets a league suspension, it’s when and how much. And who’s gonna be the team dumb enough to sign him as he awaits his Sept. 23 hearing date?
Wondering what you guys have to say.

Plax should be allowed to play. After all, he hasn’t used his gun on the field as yet (:
In all seriousness, Goodell has no choice but to suspend Burress for at least half the season. A precedent has to be set in the NFL regarding violence as players such as Ray Lewis and Pac Man Jones were given negligible suspensions and adjudicated with extensive leniency.
The Giant front office brass did “the right thing” (as usual) by releasing him.
Ernie, you said five teams??? Lets just start with this. He “PP” his court date, now it’s in September? from June. He must be thinking that by time this all shakes out that Bloomberg will “not” make a third trip to Gracie mansion. But what his failed lawyer doesn’t know is that Bloomberg will make it again and that he is so hard pressed to stop anyone and that means proball players from carrying guns in clubs and for that matter anywhere!! That he’ll impose that max sentence of 3 1/2 years on this charge! So you said five??? more like zero when it all comes down to how long a team will wait??? Three years isn’t alot of time, but for a proplayer it’s a life time. There’s no high tech gyms in New York’s finest “colleges” no personel trainers!!! no high protein diets!!! Lil ole Plax will have to stand on the “chow” line with the rest of the gun-slingers of our fare state! That guy’s is how it will be!!
Talk about shooting one’s foot??? err-leg?
Hey Ernie! Good to see you back.
Plax will have to find another way to make money in 2009. I think that no one wil sign him and take that risk for 2009…2010? He probably goes to the Raiders or Patriots. Raiders are the easy call….Al Davis would take the chance on any felon.
