Jane McManus joined The Journal News in 1999, after working at The Daily News and Newsday. As if concerns about Jeremy Shockey, Michael Strahan and Plaxico Burress weren’t enough, the Giants have something else to worry about—Super Bowl rings which were to be given to staffers. The championship rings were taken in an old fashioned jewelry heist.

Michael Strahan is going to do what most professional athletes attempt, and that’s being able to retire after reaching the heights of a professional career. Pete Sampras did it right after winning the U.S. Open in 2002, and not the Giants defensive end and team leader is going to do it now.

The Giants will finally get their Super Bowl rings tomorrow night during a ring ceremony at Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue store.
Four players, Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, Amani Toomer and Shaun O’Hara, helped jewelers design the ring.
