Ticket prices will not be going up for next season.
I know there’s a punch line in there someplace, but I’ll leave that up to you to post. Be creative. You know the economy is awful when an NFL team spends money to maintain recent success and doesn’t reach into your pocket for a couple of [...]

No, we’re not talking about free agency.
Jane McManus was down at the new statium today for all of the pomp and circumstance. They put the last piece of steel in place, and you can read her report here.
No word on a name for the facility. Anybody got a couple of extra nickles?

Right now, the Giants aren’t commenting on the possibility of picking up Terrell Owens, a divisive force who’s reportedly on the loose.
Don’t get too excited.
The answer from a person familiar with the Giants’ thinking is no way, now how. Owens might be a playmaker, but he’s made three NFL stops and has way too much [...]

Start up the welcome wagon, the Giants have signed another free agent, C.C. Brown.
No, he’s not a wide receiver.
The 26-year-old safety is presumably coming in to battle Kenny Phillips and Michael Johnson for a spot in the starting lineup. He played in three games this past season for the Houston Texans, and missed the remainder [...]

Dare we say Chris Canty sounded almost jolly?
I only ask because he stands 6-foot-7 and would have no problem running me down in a footrace despite carrying 300-and-whatever pounds.
Let’s hope that personality continues to shine through in the locker room.
Canty admitted he was a little surprised to be on the list of free agents the [...]

Jerry Reese was back on the phone this morning … talking with the media about where the free agents signed over the weekend fit in with the Giants.
Chris Canty and Michael Boley spoke, too.
There was quite a bit to cover, so here’s the Reader’s Digest version:
Do the signings reflect the possibility that Fred Robbins and [...]

While out clearing the NFC East weather from my driveway, I was thinking about everything the Giants were able to accomplish over the weekend.
The reviews have been very good.
I’m thinking Jerry Reese and Co. was really concerned about the inability to get off the field on third down. Now the defensive front is set up [...]

It’s like Jerry Reese is using Jedi mind tricks.
None of the free agents invited here for a visit have left town without new contract. He’s 3-for-3 now that Chris Canty has inked a six-year deal worth a reported $42 million.
Can you see it?
“I like it here. Where do I sign?”
Canty is guaranteed nearly $18 [...]

After signing Michael Boley and Rocky Bernard, the Giants are probably a better team defensively.
It seems they are exchanging numbers with defensive lineman Chris Canty, as well. Here’s my question, would you rather see that money invested offensively?
Derrick Ward is out visiting suitors. Amani Toomer isn’t likely to come back next season, and Plaxico [...]

Are you seeing a pattern here?
Defensive tackle Rocky Bernard, 29, has agreed to a deal with the Giants. No terms yet. After seven years in Seattle, he’s coming here to provide backup/insurance for Fred Robbins and Barry Cofield, who are both coming off knee surgery.
This is an interior lineman who pushes ahead.
Bernard had 55 [...]
